I didn’t start the year with a lot of goals (or if I did, I don’t know where they are now!), but the one I did start and stick with is… the release of 2,025 items throughout the year and tracking them on the 2025 in 2025 sheet. I really have been working on this throughout the year, checking boxes as I go.
I printed this in 2024 too, but didn’t get as far. This year, I added the target timeframe on the righthand side. 200 items per month. 200 by Feb 1, 400 by Mar 1, …wrapping up w/ the 2,000th item by Nov 1, giving December for the last 25 items. I didn’t stick with that all the way (It’s 12/26, and I’m just now approaching 1,800), but I know for sure the month milestones helped a lot.
A regular occurrence would be to go upstairs with a bag, start putting items in and counting in my head. Come downstairs and either trash / check off, or bag up for donation. If donation was the path, I’d use the highlighter once things were bagged and in my car, then actually check off when the donation was complete. Items might be kid’s toys (trash for one-off, broken, random), donations for nice sets, clothing, decorations and household items no longer using, stacks of magazines (10 items = 1 check), etc.
SO close! I think it can still be achieved. T cleared out his closets earlier this month resulting in a lot of shirts to donate. I need to 1) count the number, and 2) help him figure out where to take them (our old usual place has shifted gears to food pantry only / no clothing donations accepted), and maybe 3) help with the drop-off. Then I can count those too!

This version of the chart came from Mia Lee over at Nourishing Minimalism. Thanks, Mia!
